Alyeska Resort

About 30-40 minutes outside of Anchorage lies a gem in the mountains, otherwise known as Alyeska Resort. It offers a variety of activities in any season and the views that boast along the Turnagain Arm are simply breath taking. There's never been another resort that I've been to that simply sings there is beauty all around. While in the warmer months you can take the Tramway up to the top, or if your adventurous enough, you can make the grueling up hill hike an have a complementary free ride down. At the top of the Tramway you will find two restaurants and other multiple hikes that will make you fall in love with the area. Alyeska Resort also has downhill mountain biking as well as a spa, and comfy place to stay. There are bears, moose, and other types of wildlife that surround the area.

And if you are visiting the area in the wintertime, Alyeska is probably the most sought out ski resort in Alaska. Hit the infamous slopes and you'll surely have the time of your life.

Here are several pictures of the area and of course if you have any questions or additional information feel free to hit the comments.

There was still snow at the top.

And a pretty lake.
